THE BANDS

We are currently working on our quality band listings for 2025, keep popping back here to see the updates or follow us on social media at Red Rooster Events

That Britpop Band is a no-holds-barred genre tribute act solely dedicated to the last major British movement in music – 90s Britpop.

Covering songs from the genre’s obvious big-hitters such as Oasis, Blur, Pulp, and The Verve; to the often-unsung heroes like Supergrass, Shed Seven, and The Seahorses; the band leave no Britpop-shaped stone unturned in their fast-paced, high-energy tribute show.

The band itself is comprised of four musicians whose combined gigging history would put the most seasoned of players to shame! Having played all over the world from New Zealand to Old Camden Town with the likes of Bill Wyman, Bad Manners, Babyshambles, The View, Ben Waters, John Power and the mighty Chas & Dave (to name but a few), it’s fairly safe to say that these boys know their way around the stage!

That Britpop Band have already made a huge impact on the tribute band scene and have also gained a massive online following; being personally endorsed by Britpop legends Shed 7 and the ‘one and only’ Chesney Hawkes!

LITTLE JUKE

Some of you will recall watching the lead singer and his band perform a few years ago at the Waters Edge Festival. This year sees Alex Ohm bring his newly named band 'Little Juke' to entertain you all.. The band are a musical collective hailing from the West Midlands. Having found each other through various musical projects and friends, Little Juke have begun their own musical journey and are already making waves. With a wide range of influences, Little Juke are a melting pot of sounds that amalgamate to make a soaring, cinematic, indie sound that has crowds wanting more wherever they go.

DAN OWEN

Well, at the 5th time of asking Dan to perform for us at the Waters Edge Festival we ave finally got a date that works for him ....

Known for his arresting, husky vocals and gritty, blues-infused pop/rock. Dan started at open-mic events at local pubs throughout his youth alongside his sister. After his sister left for University, Dan took to performing solo and began appearing at live events at various pubs and clubs throughout the area surrounding Shropshire. Performing under the name "Bluesboy Dan", he gradually earned a committed fan base with his passionate versions of songs by artists such as Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker while also focusing on writing his own material.

After a couple more years of relentless performing in which he began to include his own songs, he was signed to Atlantic Records in2015 and put out his debut EP, Bad for Me, later that year. In 2016 he put out his second EP, Open Hands & Enemies, before a European tour with Birdy as support act. He then spent 2017 writing and recording his debut full-length effort. The album titled 'Stay Awake with Me' arrived in August 2018. Dan promoted the record with a U.K. and European tour that Autumn.

THE DIRTY ROCKIN SCOUNDRELS

Well, what can we say about this band, I have had the pleasure of working with this amazing band for almost 10 years now and they never, ever fail to disappoint!!

The Dirty Rockin Scoundrels are a UK based Rock 'n' Roll band, bringing you the best music from the golden era of the 50's and 60's with an entertaining and electrifying live show, unlike any other...

Ready to rock your events, festivals, weddings and parties, get set for unbelievable high octane hits with the 'Scoundrels' as we breathe new life and energy into this timeless genre. Our immersive performance will have you moving and grooving, singing, dancing and smiling all night long!

See you on the dancefloor!

The-Autumn-Saints-Logo-Large.gif

The Autumn Saints music has its roots planted firmly in the American South, with lead singer Britt Strickland bringing the soulful, weighty music history of his home state of North Carolina to the City of Dreaming Spires.

The southern storytelling tradition made famous by the likes of Dylan and Johnny Cash is very much alive in the Saints’ music, with tales of hurricanes sweeping through the Appalachian Mountains and encounters with the devil at the crossroads unraveling in each song.

This December sees them opening for our very good friends Dodgy at their 'Sold Out' Christmas Show in St.Albans.

The Midnight Jukes are a hard-hitting four-piece band delivering an eclectic mix of 50s and 60s rock and roll, rockabilly and blues. Expect infectious rhythms that make you dance and electrifying melodies that take you back! I first booked the lead singer from this band 8 years ago when they were know as Two Faced Tom & the Bootleg Boys, what a band they were back then, so here we are 8 years on and they have simply got better and better!... Looking forward to their 2 sets on the second stage this year!

Here at Red Rooster Events and the Water's Edge Festival we believe in giving youth a platform to perform, so first up this year will be this great local band.

The Small Furry Animals are a young rock band which was formed when the founder members were in year 4 at school!  The name came from their school houses at the time (Foxes, Badger, Squirrels and Rabbits!) and they first hit the Shropshire scene following the Oswestry Youth Music Festival in 2022 when their youngest member was just 10 years old.  This year, at the grand age of 12-14, they won the Star of the Future award at the Shropshire Music Awards!  They have a wide range of genres ranging from Green Day and Oasis through to Evanescence and have recently started writing their own songs as well!  Instruments on stage range from guitar and keyboard through to a harp and they are all keen musicians in their own right when not performing with the band.

In 2024 the Small Furry Animals performed at LoopFest, Farmer Phil’s Festival, Shrewsbury Food Festival and Shrewsbury Flower Show to name but a few but this will be their very first time rockin’ Water’s Edge Festival!
